Club News:
Home for the Holidays: Salina Vieira, Univ. South Carolina;  Louise Agoston, Univ. Conn; Kerry Andrews, Rutgers Univ.; Rich Morris, Villanova; Heather Perrine, Marist; Lori Roth, Penn State; Aiden Viggiano, Univ. VA.

Louise Agoston, our premier hurdler, 200 meter and 4x4 competitor will return to the Univ. of Conn. on 1/4/98. Louise said that UC does not compete at The Millrose Games, so we will have to wait to see her at the Penn Relays. Louise, also stated that the college scene is quite different than the high school experience, both academically and athletically. She said "I'm glad that I studied in High School."

Jaime Squillare, who ran the roads and cross-country so well for the club, has followed the selection of many Catholic school athletes and entered Red Bank Catholic High School. Jaime ran x-c for RBC this past season and it appears that she will succeed as Kerry Andrews has done.

Rich Morris, won the 1500 meter USATF Championship in 1993, when the club went to the Nationals in Baton Rouge,LA. We will look for Rich at the Millrose Games on 2/13/98; he was listed last year in the program but was unable to compete, and the word was that he was in great condition.

Club History:
The Cosmic Track Club was founded in 1986. The main purpose was to provide area youth the opportunity to develop athletic and social skills through training, competition, travel and social activities of an educational format.

Les Wright, Jr. initiated the formation process, which included youth from Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex counties. The club membership has fluctuated from a high of 53 athletes to sometimes as low as 1 active person.

There has been an impressive record of efforts, victories, and titles compiled on the local, association, regional and national levels. Which can be attributed to the parental support of Cosmic's "low key", low pressure, individualized training emphasis. Varied accomplishments will be highlighted in the historical results section.
